Growing up in Philly, Kristal Bush saw nearly all the men in her life either locked up or boxed up and she’s not alone. Her mother, friends and neighbors suffer the trauma of trying to stay connected to their incarcerated loved ones through letters, criminally expensive collect phone calls and long road trips for short visits up state. Kristal devises an ambitious solution for herself and the women in her world. She starts a chauffeur service to take women to see the inmates at upstate prisons.
