Christmas Wedding Baby

A bride to be discovers that her first love has been hired as her wedding photographer

Andrea is the youngest of three sisters, beautiful, young, intelligent and making her way in the world.  She’s engaged to marry picture perfect Brent, when the passion storm of her life, Gabriel walks in to her pre-wedding photo shoot. Fiancé Brent is delayed on business giving Gabriel time to walk Andrea down love and lust lane.  This leaves Andrea to question whether now is the time to move on, or to recapture the man that she loved so much and lost.

Andrea’s sisters are in two very different places in their lives.  After a stellar career in journalism, the oldest sister, Lori has chosen the path of single parenthood and is due with her first child, much to the chagrin of her family.  The middle sister, Charlotte is at a crossroads with her long term boyfriend and father of her two children, Isaac.  Isaac has finally stepped up and taken his role as the man of the house, but Charlotte is over playing Suzy Homaker and trying to create the Norman Rockwell picture and wants the freedom to pursue her career potential before her youth is gone.

Christmas Wedding Baby explores the distance between the perception of happiness and actual joy.  Through these three women and their eccentric mother, we question the societal definitions of success and reevaluate the roles and responsibilities of today’s woman.  We also examine the depth of passion and commitment of men who are often struggling and confused in this gender non-specific landscape.  There are no villains in this film, just men and women who love each other, yet somehow fail terribly at communicating their emotions.

We shot our film on location in Jacksonville, where the Director grew up, to take advantage of the beautiful and varied landscapes that the city has to offer.  From the sparkling St Johns river, to the pristine sands of Jax Beach, to the eclectic shops of 5 Points, to the hanging moss of Mandarin. The City of Jacksonville a character in this film that helps shape and guide our story.
